Mezzio Named New Athletic Director

In June 2017, Mike Mezzio accepted the role of Raider Athletic Director.

Coach Mezzio joined the Raider faculty in 2006 as an Economics and International Affairs teacher and as the Head Coach of the Varsity Boys Basketball team. He led the 2009-2010 Varsity team to the Boys AAA Elite Eight. Following the 2010 season, Mezzio took over the head coaching duties for the Junior Varsity Boys Basketball squad.

Mezzio began his coaching career in 1994 at Turner Middle School with the football, basketball, and track programs. From 1999-2002, he coached football, basketball, varsity baseball, and varsity girls basketball at Harper-Archer High School. After leaving Harper-Archer, Mezzio was on the faculty at Douglass High School, where he served as Athletic Director and led both the Boys and Girls basketball teams, as well as the track team.

Coach Mezzio is from Newburgh, New York and graduated from the University of Scranton with a BS in Economics and Finance. He holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University. Mezzio played soccer and basketball in high school.
