Josh Peljovich Commits To Colby College Baseball

Congrats to Josh Peljovich (Class of 2020), has verbally committed to play baseball at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. Peljovich was recruited as a pitcher for the Mules, who compete in the 11-school New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) of the NCAA's Division III.  He plans to study Economics.

Riverwood Baseball Head Coach Trey Henson notes, "Josh is a strike thrower, throwing three pitches consistently for strikes. Colby is getting the epitome of a student-athlete in Josh Peljovich. He is a great student and more importantly a great person. I look for Josh to contribute early at Colby giving them a large number of quality innings."

A four-year Varsity letterman in baseball, Peljovich was honored as JV Pitcher of the Year and Riverwood Athlete of the Month his freshman year and was named to the 6-AAAAA Second Team All-Region as a junior. He ran cross country for Riverwood his freshman year.  Josh is an IB Diploma Candidate and a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. He played summer/travel baseball for eight years at 643 DP Athletics in Marietta.  His brother, David (Class of 2015), also played baseball at Riverwood, and then went on to play at Wake Forest University.  His sister, Sarah (Class of 2017) was a Riverwood varsity tennis player.  Josh is the son of Allan and Lori Peljovich of Sandy Springs.
