On Tuesday, March 15, the Boys Golf team played for the second day in a row. Following the Big Red Shootout in Gainesville on Monday, the Raiders were a bit closer to home on Tuesday afternoon. The Raiders played a tight nine-hole match against North Atlanta at the Cherokee Country Club and lost 171-174. The Warriors have been one of the Top 10 teams in the state in recent seasons and it was disappointing to let this one get away at the end.
Going to the last hole, the Raiders were within three strokes of the lead, only to fall short with a couple of wayward shots. William White and Zeb Sumlin continue to lead the Raiders with scores of 42 and 43, respectively. White and Sumlin tied North Atlanta's top two scorers. Michael Kraft finished with 44, Connor Lennon with 45, and Yergan Jones with 46.
The Boys Golf team plays again Wednesday in LaGrange and Saturday in Canton.
