Raiders Host Riverwood-Weber Ryder Cup
The Boys Golf team hosted the Third Annual Riverwood-Weber Ryder Cup on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Held at Woodmont County Club, 18 teams participated in this year's Invitational.
The Raider Golf Team turned in its best performance of the season, finishing 8th out of the 18 schools. In the two-man team competition, Junior Connor Sewell and Sophomore Phillip Clendenin finished 11th out of 58, with a combined 8 over par. Additionally, Sewell and Clendenin played their final six holes at a blistering three under par, certainly a highlight of the day.
Jordan Tyner, Jacob Smith, Eddie Cooper, Austin Warren, Luke Courts, and Jordan Allen filled out the Raider roster. Tyner and Smith were a combined 32 over par; Cooper and Warren were 28 over; and Courts and Allen finished 36 over. 
The Walton High School team successfully defended their title, winning for the second year in a row, with an outstanding combined team total of 3 over par. 
Next on the calendar, the varsity is at Cherokee Country Club Monday afternoon, March 5 against Northview and returns to Tournament play Saturday, March 10 at Chateau Elan in the Gwinnett Open.
