Riverwood-Weber Ryder Cup Saturday, March 2, 2019
The 2019 Riverwood-Weber Ryder Cup was Saturday, March 2 at the Woodmont Golf and Country Club in Canton.

On a beautiful day for golf after seemingly endless rain, 58 two-man teams played under special format tournament scoring.

Jonah Hirsch (sophomore) and Connor Sewell (senior) paired to lead the Raiders with a fourth place finish. They scored 99, only three strokes behind the winning twosome from Walton High School.

Hirsch also had the shot of the year thus far when he holed out from 100 yards for an eagle on the 389-yard 14th hole.

Next in the clubhouse for the Raiders were Phillip Clendenin and Jordan Tyner (119) and the Casey Scheele and Jacob Smith team at 122.

On the JV side, Luke Courts and Bailey Olson posted 126; Coleman Alvarez and Alex Gruenig finished with 131.

Weather permitting, the Raiders travel to Chateau Elan on Saturday, March 9 for the Gwinnett Open
