Boys Varsity Wins Easily at North Springs 20-11

The Varsity Raiders visited local rival North Springs and beat the Spartans easily in a game marked by an ugly third quarter and a notably depleted offensive roster.

Three seniors (Richard Lea, Sam Sullivan, Nate Arney) were out with injuries, and senior Graham Young also left during the game after injuring his right arm. But spurred by a blizzard of goals while man down in the second quarter, the Raiders ran away from a game that appeared sluggishly close for the first ten minutes. The Spartans simply didn't have the speed, athleticism, or experience to slow down Raider advances.

The Raiders closed out an oustanding regular season with a record of 11 wins and 5 losses, their best record ever. The boys look forward to their first state playoff game on May 2nd, 2019.
