Lady Raiders Win 2 of 3 Region Games

The Varsity Girls Basketball team is in the final stretch of Region 6-AAAAA competition and is having considerably more success than last year.

During the week of January 22, the Lady Raiders played four games in five days, three of which were region contests. The Lady Raiders won two of the three region games, defeating Grady and Carver and falling to the first place team, Jackson.

When the dust settled at the end of the week, the Lady Raiders held a 6-6 region record and were #4 in the region standings. The top four teams in the region receive a "bye" in the region tournament. With two region contests remaining on the schedule, the Lady Raiders would love to clinch a top four spot.
