  • Bio

Mark Myers joined the Raider faculty and coaching staff in June 2017. Coach Myers is the Football Head Coach and teaches in the Special Education department.

Coach Myers was the Football Head Coach at Dutchtown High School in Henry Country from 2014-2017. He took over a program which had experienced little success and led the Dutchtown Bulldogs to sub-region runners up and advanced to region playoffs and play-in games in back-to-back seasons. Prior to Dutchtown, Myers was an Assistant Coach and the Offensive Coordinator at Henry County High School. His previous high school coaching roles include serving as the wide receiver coach at McEachern (Cobb County), serving as the offensive coordinator at Stockbridge (Henry County), defensive coordinator at North Atlanta, and defensive line coach at Hiram (Paulding County). At the professional level, Myers was an offensive coach with the Atlanta Thoroughbreds of the National Indoor Football League.

In high school, Myers was a running back and wide receiver under Head Coach Jimmy Dorsey at McEachern High School. As a McEachern Indian, Myers scored 50 career touchdowns and was a two-time All-Region and All-County Super 11 selection, resulting in an invitation to play in the Georgia North vs. South All-Star game.

Myers played college football at Georgia Southern under the tutelage of current Georgia Tech Head Coach Paul Johnson. Myers was a three-year starter for the Eagles on teams which won two consecutive national championships, five conference championships, and he was a 2002 pre-season All-Conference selection.

Myers played professional football with several Arena and Indoor football teams including the Birmingham Steeldogs, the South Georgia Wildcats, the El Paso Rumble, and the Augusta Spartans.

Myers holds a B.S. in Recreation with a minor in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University. He earned his Masters of Education in Educational Management from Strayer University.
