The Varsity Boys Soccer team defeated Locust Grove Wednesday, May 3 in the Sweet 16 round of the State Class AAAAA tournament. The visiting Wildcats fell to the Raiders 5-1. Senior Victor Miranda had four goals and Freshman Amir Sharpe had one.
The Raiders advance to the Elite Eight to face McIntosh on Saturday, May 6. Game time is 4pm at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City (map). Since both teams are the #1 seed from their regions (Raiders Region 6-AAAAA; Chiefs Region Region 3-AAAAA), a coin toss determined the home field.
