The 2014-15 school year was the first time Riverwood participated in the Positive Athlete Georgia program. Positive Athlete Georgia hosted an awards ceremony for all of the North Fulton award winners on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Crosspoint Community Church in Roswell.
Positive Athlete Georgia accepted nominations during the school year from parents, teachers, and coaches to recognize student-athletes in 25 different high school sports whose presence and attitude makes a positive impact on their team and school environment. What makes the Positive Athlete Georgia program slightly different from other local and state awards is that the nominees were not necessarily the most valuable players as measured by records and statistics, and that parents and teachers could participate in the nomination process.
