The 2017 Region 6-AAAAA Tournament was Tuesday, April 11 on the courts at Piedmont Park. Having the best record in regular season region competition, the Raiders earned a bye in the first round of the region tournament.
Grady emerged from the first round to face the Raiders in the semi-finals. The Knights defeated the Raiders 3-2. The two losses were very close contests; doubles lost in a tiebreaker and singles in a very tight and very long three-set match.
With the loss in the semi-finals, the Raiders next faced Decatur to determine the #3 seed in the Region. The Raiders prevailed 3-2 and earned a spot in the 2017 State Tournament.
As the #3 seed, the Raiders travel to Flowery Branch, the #2 seed from Region 8-AAAAA, on Monday afternoon, April 17 for a 1pm contest. (view State Tournament brackets)
