On a blustery, cold afternoon, the Raiders traveled north to Blessed Trinity on Thursday, February 4 and won 3-2 in the 2016 season opener for both schools.
The Raiders' number 1 and 2 in academic standing—Pascal Acree and Kyle Weil—notched an impressive win in doubles action. They will be a fun pairing to follow this season in the classroom and on the courts.
Senior Michael Roddey came back from behind in his first and second sets to earn a courageous win. Roddey's improvement mentally and physically since last year is nothing short of amazing.
Junior Gaurav Kunwar dominated his opponent with big serves and blistering ground strokes. Kunwar leads the team by humble powerful example on the courts.
Zack Katz and Carter Rozenboom fell in a tough loss, as did singles player Ben Shainker.
