The Boys Cross Country team participated in the Saucony Battle of Atlanta race in Hampton on Saturday, August 26, 2017. The Raider Thundering Herd finished 9th overall in a very competitve field of 38 teams on the Nash Farm Battlefield course.
Freshman Eli Hoppenfield was first across the finish line for the Raiders, finishing 33rd overall with a time of 17:42. All seven Varsity runners finished ahead of region rival Decatur's third best runner, giving notice that the Raiders have designs on a Regional Championship this year. The JV squad finished 4th out of 20 teams to round out a great day for the Raider harriers.
Head Coach Zach McKeone was very happy with the results, "I like winning and I especially like beating teams in our region. I'm extremely proud of our guys' performance."
