Boys XC Now Top Ten in State Class AAAAA

On a warm sunny day in Canton, the Boys Cross Country team competed in the 23rd Annual Warpath Invitational. Hosted by Cherokee High School at Boling Park on Saturday, September 16, 2017, the Invitational featured 30 High School teams from across North Georgia.

Freshman Eli Hoppenfield led the Raiders finishing with a season best time of 17:37 in 65th place overall. Twenty Raiders posted season best times.

GA Milesplit currently ranks the Raiders as the #8 team in the state at AAAAA. Region rival Decatur is #4.

Head Coach Zach McKeone commented, "As a whole, the Raiders had a solid race. A majority of the team ran a PR today. Warpath is always a fast course, and that's what the boys did - they ran their own race, hard and fast. I am excited to see them step up to the challenge and prove that they are in the mix to be top contenders, not just in our Region, but also in the State."
