The Boys Cross Country Team traveled to Douglasville to compete in the Alexander/ASICS Invitational on Saturday, October 7. Hosted by Alexander High School at the Foxhall Sporting Club, the Raiders finished 6th out of 37 teams in the Varsity 5A-7A division.
Sixteen Raiders set either personal best or season best times on the fast, foggy course.
Senior Andrew Ungashick paved the way for the team with a 24th place finish in the strong field. His 17-:05 was a season best.
Head Coach Zach McKeone was upbeat, "The guys ran great. We had a lot of PRs and the Varsity boys ran like a team. If they keep continuously improving and running like they are now, we've got a very good chance of taking some hardware home at State."
