The JV Boys Basketball team has put together a nice run of wins with four victories in their last five games.
Friday, December 6, 2013 vs Sequoyah
The JV won its first overtime game of the season with a 53-48 win over the visiting Chiefs. While the Raiders led most of the game, the Chiefs managed to tie the score with a rally at the end. In overtime, the Raiders' aggressive pressing defense caused turnovers. Making critical layups sealed the victory.
Saturday, December 7, 2013 vs St. Pius X
The JV prevailed in its second consecutive thriller on Saturday against St. Pius X, winning 42-41 on a 3-point shot at the buzzer by Pryce Watkins. After trailing most of the game, the young Raiders rallied at the end for the thrilling home victory.
Tuesday, December 10, 2013 vs Osborne
The Raiders felt comfortable on their home court, seized control early, and never trailed en route to a 49-39 win over Osborne. Strong team play and aggressive defense highlighted the JV win.
Friday, December 13, 2013 vs Sprayberry
The Raiders had to hit the road on Friday to take on the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets. Although the game was close throughout, cold shooting spelled doom for the JV squad. The three point loss (33-30) ended the Raiders three game win streak.
Saturday, December 14, 2013 vs Blessed Trinity
The JV team returned to their winning ways on the road against Blessed Trinity on Saturday afternoon. The Raiders trailed almost the entire game; aggressive fourth period play led to a big 43-39 victory over the Titans.
