Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team for their 51-44 win over Lithia Springs in the Region 6-AAAAA Tournament Friday, February 10. With the win, the Raiders advance to the Region Tournament Championship for the second consecutive year. The win also secures a bid to the State Tournament for the third consecutive year.
The Championship game is Saturday, February 11 at 8:30pm vs. Carver. Maynard Jackson High School, Atlanta, is hosting the 2017 Region 6-AAAAA Tournament (map). Admission is $7.
The Raiders defeated Carver twice during the regular season. In mid-December the Raiders won handily at home 71-50. The rematch at Carver on January 27 was quite a different story, with the Raiders scrapping out a 52-20 win.
