On Saturday, December 2, the Varsity Boys Basketball team traveled to Gwinnett County to take on 7-AAAAA behemoth Grayson. The Rams are a perennial top team in the state of Georgia. Although star player Rudy Fitzgibbons was out of action due to an injury, the Raiders battled hard and played an exciting first half, holding a 23-22 lead at the half. The Rams returned to the court for the final two quarters and turned up the heat. At the end of the third quarter, the Rams were back in front 41-35. A combination of cold shooting and key turnovers by the Raiders sparked a Ram's 11-3 run and, ultimately, a 60-41 non-region loss for the Raiders.

Seniors Christian Sutton (15 points and 9 rebounds) and Nasir Muhammad (10 points and 7 rebounds) were the Raider scoring leaders.

The Raiders keep their bags packed for another road game. They return to region play with a visit to cross-town rival North Springs on Tuesday, December 5. Tip off is 7:30pm at North Springs
