Head Coach Buck Jenkins stepped into the top Varsity Boys Basketball coaching spot in 2010 after leading the JV squad for two years. Jenkins earned Region 7-AAAAA (South) Boys Basketball Coach of the Year honors in back-to-back seasons (2014-15 and 2015-16). The Raiders qualified for the State Class AAAAA Tournament in both 2015 and 2016, advancing to the Elite Eight in 2016.

Jenkins started teaching in the Interrelated Resources Department in 2008 and has led AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination, a college-readiness program) since it started on campus in 2014.

He graduated from Columbia University in New York with a BA in Political Science and also played basketball for Columbia where he holds the record as the All Time Leading Scorer. Jenkins was also named All-Ivy League for three years; Player of the Year in 1993; All-East Coast in 1993; Honorable Mention All-America in 1993; and is a member of the Columbia Athletics Hall of Fame.

After graduating from Columbia University, Coach Jenkins played professional basketball in Europe for three years. Coach Jenkins was an assistant men's basketball coach at Columbia University for two years, and was the Head Basketball Coach and Executive Director at Inner Strength, Inc. for seven years.

Coach Jenkins is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is married to Lydia Francis-Jenkins and they have two children, Elijah and Nailah.
